Summer evenings…

One of the great things about where we live is the old apple tree behind the house.  Paul got out the hammock and put it up in the branches.  We’ve been having fun under the tree.  The grass is still green under the tree, everywhere else the grass is yellow and scratchy.  It’s cool under there on a hot day, and in the evening the light is beautiful.

Eli running…

He’s probably dancing here.  He’s very good – and, uh, enthusiastic…

Myles taking it all in from his favorite place – snuggled against any warm body.

Me snoozing in the hammock.

Until Eli says GET OUT IT’S TIME TO PLAY!

Aaaaahhh, this could have been taken at Sears, minus the grass and natural light.  So posed, so sweet.

“Flying”

This is Eli “winking” – he thinks he is closing one eye.

Sadly, I sat down in our hammock yesterday and it ripped.  I think we have had it for almost ten years.  It’s a genuine Costa Rican hammock too.  So we must get another one.

Enjoy your warm summer evenings – they don’t last forever.  Soon we will be building fires in our wood stoves at night.

  1. GREAT pictures! They really capture the emotions of everyone. Love it.

  2. I love all the pictures. Way better than Sears. My favorite is of Eli winking — could be the cutest childhood anomily.

  3. Great pictures. Looks like Eli’s features are changing. And I agree, these are much better than Sears. They are real and darling.

Maybe its not to late to put in a request to Rebecca to bring you back a new hammock.
