Monthly Archives: July 2008

Just a quick update…

We’ve been spending a lot of time with family!  Isn’t that the best in the world?  I’m seeing that my job was pretty much tailor made for me.  I had forgotten how much I love teaching.  I got the chance to get some coffee in “town” where they have wifi, so I can blog a little.  The picture above is of Eli in our new tent at Pacific Beach.  We bought it at a gear sale in the winter and used it for the first time last week.

Sabbatical…

I’ll be taking a break from blogging this month.  See you in August!

Moving…

There is something about moving that makes you realize that you have a lot of stuff you don’t use.  This is the fourth time we’ve moved in our seven year marriage – and it doesn’t get any easier.  Things are falling neatly into place for us in our new community.  We’ve already found a place to rent – which we will be moving into in August.  It completely fills every need we have, and then some.  It is a 1980’s double wide mobile home.  It is dated in every way – from the wood paneling to the flowered wallpaper in the bathroom.  It also has a 100 year old gravenstein apple tree in the back, a little plot to garden in, and FOUR bedrooms.  More later…
